Hi, what’s up? During this last assessment, we were training different basketball as well as strength methods in P.E. lessons; and, considering that our posts had to deal about one of these two topics, I finally chose the second, because most of my classmates’ comments regarded just to basketball. In the video above, a professional sports trainer teaches us a series of points we need to bear in mind: 1. Sit-ups are not only a way to improve our resistance, but also to avoid any kind of damage after sport (such as running). 2. When doing sit-ups, we should look upwards and slightly forwards; while maintaining our head in line with the back. 3. Hand must be standing over the chest (and not holding from the neck). 4. We are required to realize that if our shoulders and dorsal area are not straight enough, we can suffer some pain. Moreover, the lumbar area has to remain completely stuck to the ground during the exercise. 5. In order to properly train the abdominal muscles, our body mustn’t raise more than 45º from the floor. 6. It is essential to take it easy and with continuous movements of contraction and extension. These sorts of videos are utterly useful, specially for beginners or students; now that people doesn’t always know how to do sit-ups in a proper way, and they may endure harms if the training is not sufficiently appropriate for them. From my part, this is all. See you the next time!
Hi, I`m Ángel from 4º B and I`m going to comment in the new post of my partner Javier.I decided to comment in this video because I think that it explains very well as sit-ups. Is a short video so you can call us more attention since we do very boring.I believe that making this type of exercise we have all best physical condition since we strengthen our abdominal part and even would enhance our resistance. To work well the part of the abdomen and not another is suitable to follow these steps: -Always keep looking up and slightly forward -No puting the hands by after the neck to avoid the feeling of pulling neck -Breathing and mouth and nose -Separate toes parallel to the hips, supporting them on the ground. Okey this is all of my opinion about this, so I recomended you to see this video it`s very beautifull. Bye.
Hi, I am Belén Ruiz, a Javier's classmate. As my comment was about basketball and I wanted to talk about strength I decided to choose this video because I think it is very useful and helpful for people like me, that we do not know how to do sit-ups correctly. Firstly, the man starts explaining that, apart from helping the improvement of strength, it keeps you away from any type of pain after running. Secondly, he talks about the correct position of our body: 1. Your back must be in line with your head, always looking up and slightly forward. 2. Your hands must not be behind the head or you can hurt your neck. You can place them on your chest or with the fingers touching the ears. 3. Separate the feet as much as the hip. 4. Try not to raise your shoulders up or forwards; on the contrary, move your trunk. 5. Do not raise the body more than 45º, in order to train correctly the abdominals. Afterwards, he explains how to breath correctly, inspiring by the nose and expiring by the mouth. Finally, he advises to do regular contractions and extensions of the trunk. Here finishes the video and my explication of it. I hope this to be useful for somebody. Bye.
Hello! I’m María Torices, from 4ºB. In this third assessment we did basketball, and also practice with the medicine ball, we do the jump test, and we do some sit- ups. I think it’s interesant to talk about this type of sport (the sit-ups) and I found that Javier, my classmate here talk about it. In this video, a professional trainer show to the people different points of the sit-ups that we have to know. One of the points, is that you have to put your head in the line with the column, you don’t have to cross the hand in the nape, put them in the chest, or the fingers in the ears, use the mouth and the nose to breath correctly, separates the feet parallel to the frame and put them in the floor, (our body mustn’t raise more than 45º from the floor) and you have to take it easy and with continuous movements of contraction and extension. Okey, this is my opinion of the video of Javier. I think he chose it very well, so I have to say you congratulations! Hope you like it. Bye
