What is fitness

Fitness is synonymous with "getting in shape". The literal translation into Spanish of the word "Fitness" is "Aptitude," that is, the ability of a person to do a particular activity. Applied to this context, the Fitness would be the capacity to perform physical activity oriented to a better health and better physical state through the exercise. The fitness includes 7 different aspects: exercises oriented to flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, agility, speed, balance, physical constitution and cardiovascular resistance.   As I mentioned earlier, all aspects of fitness are aimed at improving health. Therefore, this concept also encompasses, in addition to physical activity or exercise, proper nutrition, with adequate diets, and adequate rest periods for each person and activity. To understand what fitness is, the key word is Health. Regular moderate physical activity has been shown to improve health by increasing life expectancy and decreasing the frequency of cardiovascular diseases (heart and circulation problems in the rest of the body). In this way, any activity or approach that contributes to improving our health can be considered fitness.

    I think that get in shape is important because is needed to be healthy, it increases life expectancy and reduce the probabylity of cardiovascular diseases. Fitness isn't do physical activity until you cannot more, you can get in shape simply walking or running half an hour.

  2. Hi, I agree with gabriel, that increase life expenctancy and reduce the probabylity of the cardiovascular diases, but as says it that the fitness didn't do physical activity , and you can get simply walking or doing cycling a half an hour or around this time

  3. Hello. I'm agree with Gabriel, because the fitness can really get better to people who that's suffering from some diseases; also a regular fitness activity can help people with emotional problems. Very good article!

  4. Hello, good afternoon and in this comment I am going to give my opinion about what fitness is since I think it is a modality higher than the gymnastics itself and that it improves much more the physical condition of each person, only to see the athletes of Fitness
