Football Rules

1 comentario:

  1. Hi, I am Belén Ruiz, a student from the fourth year of secondary school. As we had been practicing speed and football during the last assessment, I decided to comment a video about football rules and curiosities. In my opinion, they are explained in an easy understanding way.
Now, I will describe a bit about what the video reveals:
    1. This sport is called ‘soccer’ in North America, and ‘football’ in the rest of the world.
    2. A team is composed of 18 players, of which only 11 play on the pitch against another team.
    3. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the other team. To score a goal, you have to put the ball into the opponent goal (it must cross the white line).
    4. Nobody can touch the ball with the arms or hands, but the goalkeeper.
    5. To move the ball around the pitch:
    • Passing it to a teammate.
    • Dribbling, running with it.
    6. The yellow card is a warning when you make a foul. If you get a red card, you are sent off the pitch. Two yellow cards equal a red card.
    7. The game is played in two halves of 45 minutes, 90 minutes in total. There is a 15 minutes’ break at half time. The referee reckons the amount of time lost, and it is added at the end of each half. The higher score at the end of the 90 minutes, wins.
    8. Is called a draw, when someone scores at the end of time.
    9. A team can change up to three players during a match.
    10. If you score in a penalty kick, it counts like a goal.
    11. Then, the video explains many types of kicks and why are they caused.
    12. If the ball goes away from the pitch, there is a throw in.
    13. Finally, the man explains the offside and onside.
This is the end of the explanation, I hope this to be useful for someone. Bye.
