I think the two most important benefits are the improves on posture and balance, and fewer injuries. I think the first it is very important because your back is a very important part of your body, and if you can improve your posture, you will have less injuries in that zone. The article, as I said before, also features some exercises to train your flexibility, and most of them are commonly used in yoga.
